Currey, Richard, O., born at Nashville, Tenn., Aug. 28, 1816. Graduated in medicine at Philadelphia, was Professor of Chemistry in University of East Tennessee, at Knoxville, and in Shelby Medical College, at Nashville. Practiced medicine in Knoxville, and conducted the Southern Journal of Medical and Physical Sciences, was Surgeon of 63d Tennessee Regiment, was afterwards in charge of Hospitals at Cleaveland and Knoxville, Tenn., Abingdon, Va., and Salisbury, N. C., where he died, on duty, in February, ‘65.

Currey, G. W., born at Nashville, Sept. 13, 1823. Graduated in medicine at Nashville, was Surgeon in charge of Hospitals at Memphis, Tenn., Ringgold and Newman, Ga. Practiced many years in Nashville, Tenn, where he died, January, 1886.
