مَزْجَرٌ ذ [A place of زَجْر, i. e. chiding, &c.]. ― -b2- [Hence,] هُوَ مِنِّى مَزْجَرَ الكَلْبِ, an elliptical phrase, meaning (tropical:) [He is, in relation to me, or مِنِّى is here used in the sense of عِنْدِى, i. e., in my estimation,] as though he were in the مزجر of the dog; (Sb, TA;) [i. e., as though he were to be chidden like the dog, and driven away;] said by Z to be tropical.
