The subjects, Faith and Hope, are represented by two female figures; that in the left section bearing a large cross, that on the right, an anchor and an open book.
The draperies of the figures are of a deep and rich green
. In the top panel is an angel with an open book, on which is recorded the words: ‘She Hath Done What She Could.’
On scroll at the top. ‘To the Glory of God and in memory of.’
Inscription at the base; ‘Helen Adams Elliott
Died May 29, 1879.
Aged 39 years. Erected by her parents.
