--To-night the patrons of the Theatre have an opportunity for enjoying themselves, in seeing and hearing the beautiful operatic drama of the "Daughter of the Regiment. " In the character of Marie, Miss Richings has achieved some of her greatest triumphs. The songs alone are sufficient to compensate any person who is not over extravagant in his demands. Mr. Richings plays Cartouche, in which he is first rate, and the general characters are well distributed. The performance will close with the "Spirit of the Rhine." As the election is over, and the excitement of political meetings past, our citizens will now desire to settle down quietly, and enjoy the recreation which is so liberally furnished at the Theatre.
