this morning, exploded her boiler, at her dock, at ten o'clock afternoon, while getting up steam for the purpose of hoisting out freight.
Several persons were killed and a number injured.
The killed are Mary Ann Golden, Patrick James Hobbie
, all of Chicago
, first engineer; Forsyth
, second engineer, and four firemen.
The injured are the Clerk
and Michael Cock, of Chicago
; Peter Barnholt
, of Erie
; John Hayden
, of Rochester
; Julian Hatch
and David Dana
, of Chicago
; and the first site-all badly.
The boat is a complete wreck.
