Heavy movements in Agricultural Products.
--‘The movements at this market in agricultural products of the country continue on a scale of unexampled magnitude.
The deliveries at this market from interior and coastwise points during the past week have included 12,700 bales cotton, 1,026,000 bushels wheat, 152,000 barrels flour, 165,000 bushels corn, 128,000 bushels barley, 165,000 bushels oats, 9,500 tierces and barrels beef, 35,000 boxes cheese, 8,500 barrels rosin, 2,600 barrels spirits turpentine, 2,312 casks rice, 6,000 package butter, 3,900 barrels whiskey and 5,000 packages tobacco, the total value of which may be set down as not far from four millions of dollars.
The total exports of all kinds, but mostly in our agricultural products, were to the value of nearly three and a half millions of dollars — a sum exceeded but on a single occasion in the history of our commerce, and that exception was noted in the present season — a few weeks since.--’ N.
