Forgery and suicide.

--A prominent real estate broker, of St. Paul, Minn., named Gray, committed suicide on Saturday under peculiar circumstances. He had lately become pecuniarily embarrassed, and having borrowed until he could do so no longer, he obtained several blank county bonds and filled them up. These forged bonds he offered as security to a gentleman who was about to lend him money. The forgery was discovered, and an officer was appointed to watch Mr. Gray until a warrant could be procured. When the officer went to Gray's house, the latter entered an inner room on pretence of washing, then passing through the back door, he ran to the bridge. The officer pursued, but before he could overtake him Mr. Gray had passed under the railing of the bridge and suspended himself over the water. As the officer approached, he loosed his grasp and fell one hundred feet into the river. His body has not been found. He was a native of Cape Cod, Mass.
