--The Springfield (Mass.) Republican, in noticing a specimen of the fine arts exhibited in a picture dealer's window, says:

‘ The foreground is a pea-green rock, half bedded in red water, with three blue men in the centre, standing in a small claret-colored open boat, looking at a pumpkin and milk-colored steamboat in the distance.
