Trifling with Firearms.

--Newton Tucker, a student at Chalmers Institute, Holley Springs, Miss., was shot, and killed by a schoolmate named Johnson, on the 15th inst. They were going through military drill with a gun they thought unloaded. Johnson pointed the gun at his companion, who gave the command, ‘" ready, aim, fire;"’ and fell dead with a bullet through the heart.
