From Washington.

Washington,Feb. 17.
--The Supreme Court Monday, will take up the case of Kentucky vs. Ohio, growing out of the refusal of Gov. Dennison to deliver up to the Governor of Kentucky, McLago, charged with stealing a slave. Mr. Dennison refused to surrender hhnon the ground that the offence was not regarded as a crime in Ohio. Eminent counsel are engaged on both sides.

Although it is generally understood that the report of the Peace Congress Committee met with strong opposition in certain quarters, still many leading members have reason to hope for a reconciliation of the differences.--From present indications, the Convention will adjourn by Wednesday, but certain points may be introduced involving a longer session.

It is stated that Reverdy Johnson will address the Convention to-morrow, on the report.
