The Convention.

The ordinary business of the Convention yesterday was suspended for the purpose of giving a formal reception to the Commissioners from Mississippi, Georgia and South Carolina. Able speeches were delivered by Hon. Fulton Anderson, of Mississippi, and Hon. Hemet L. Benning, of Georgia, sketches of which will be found in our report. The Convention will be addressed to-day by Hon, John S. Preston, Commissioner from South Carolina. The system of admission by tickets that was inaugurated yesterday, will be in force to-day.
