Real Estate in the City of Richmond and in Henrico County, Adjacent to said City, and five very Young and likely Slaves.--As attorneys and agents for the parties interested, we shall sell, at public auction, the following very valuable Slaves and Real estate belonging to the heirs of the late Mrs. Eliza Ann Goddin, who was a devisee under the will of her father, the late Major Hugh Davis, dec'd, on Thursday, the 29th day of February, 1861, at 12 o'clock M., in front of the State Court-House, in the city of Richmond, (if fair; if not; the first fair day thereafter.) five likely and very valuable young Slaves, viz; Randall, Robert, William, Charles and Albert. One of these Slaves has been accustomed from boyhood to the Grocery business, and is now acting as a Porter in a large establishment. One other has been raised to the house, and is a first- rate Dining-Room Servant, in which capacity he is now employed; and the others are Tobacco Factory Hands, and regarded equal to any others similarly employed. And on the same day, on the premises, at 4 o'clk P. M., that valuable Real Estate on the south side of Franklin, between 8th and 9th streets, fronting about 41 feet, running back 107 feet, with the right to build against the east wall of the adjoining tenement, and the privilege of an alley leading out to 8th street. On a part of this lot there is a Brick School-house, now in the occupancy of Mr. E. w. Cone, under a lease of $150 per annum, to expire 15th September, 1863, at which time the building will attach to and belong to the freehold. Another portion of said lot is now rented for $30 per annum, thus making the aggregate rent $180 per annum. And immediately thereafter, say at 5 o'clock P. M., on the premises, a lot at the corner of Venable and McCance streets, fronting on the south side of Venable street 55 feet, running back 53 feet, having thereon a Brick and Framed Tenement, formerly used as a Store and Dwelling. At the same hour and place will be sold a lot containing about two Acres, in Henrico, on the Meadow Bridge road, near the residence of Albert A. Morris, Esq. And another lot near the above containing about one Acre, on the cross road leading fro the Meadow Bridge road to the Mechanicsville Tollgate, and adjoining the Farm of Dr. F. H. Deane. Terms.--For the Salves, 4 months credit, fro approved, endorsed, negotiable paper, interest added. For the Real Estate, one-fourth balance at 4, 8 and 12 months, for negotiable paper, interest added, secured by a trust deed. The taxes for 1861
