--Passengers for Savannah by the steamship lines were notified, says the Philadelphia Ledger, that their baggage would be subject to the scrutiny of the Savannah Custom-House officers.
The officers, it is said, make a very rigid examination, and allow nothing but the strictly personal effects of the passengers to pass.
