Oysters are very scarce in our market, and command, we understand, sometimes 50 cents per quart. The price is too digging, considering the times. The scarcity is said to be owing to the fact that the oyster catchers have been suborned by Yankees, who pay for all caught at the fishing grounds, thus saving the oyster catchers the trouble of seeking a market elsewhere.
