Narrow Escapes.

--Two small children of Mrs. Mary Stone, who resides in a house a few squares above the Central depot, came very near being burned up on Saturday. They were alone in an upper room playing, when by some means the house took fire from the stove pipe. The fire was discovered from the outside, and the neighbors flew to the rescue, time enough to remove the children, who were found lying on the floor insensible. The fire was extinguished, and the children were restored, and are now getting along tolerably.
