Religious Services in Richmond.

--The Bishop of the Episcopal Church in Virginia administered the solemn and impressive rite of confirmation, an ordinance by which in that church persons are admitted to the communion, on Sunday morning in St. Paul's Church and on Sunday night at St. James'. The number confirmed at St. Paul's was 24 and at St. James' 29. This morning, at quarter past 7, the Bishop will hold a confirmation at Grace Church, Main street.

The United Synod of the Presbyterian Church (N. S.) will meet in this city, at Rev. Mr. Read's Church, on the third Thursday of May, at 8 o'clock P. M. Rev. C. M. Atkinson, Moderator, will preach the opening sermon. The Committee of Arrangements in Richmond, of which Rev. Mr. Read is chairman, desire the clerical and lay commissioners from the several Presbyteries to report their names as early as possible to the committee, that suitable provision may be made for their accommodation.
