--On Monday of last week, Wm. M. Churn, of Accomac county, Va., was accidentally drowned in Drummond's mill-pond, while returning in a skiff from a small island, and when within twenty yards of the shore.
No rescue could reach him, although his wife was standing on the bank at the time.
