--The New Orleans Delta says, during the embarkation of U. S. Cavalry, at the mouth of the Rio Grande, on the night of the 30th March, First Lieutenant James B. Witherell, 2nd Cavalry, U. S. A., accidentally fell from the steamer Mustang, and was drowned.
