Don't waste the water

--We have been requested to admonish our citizens against a lavish use of water, for several days to come. This caution is rendered necessary, from the fact that the only supply likely to be obtained for some time is that now in the reservoir, which depletes in the ratio that it is used.--The high water has prevented the working of the pumps for several days past. Even were the Superintendent able to put them to work now, the people know that the only thing likely to be pumped up is nearer mud than water. Don't waste the fluid.
