A Journey under difficulties.
--The members of the Grand Lodge
, I. O. O. F., had a very rough time on their return from Wheeling, Va.
, a few days ago. The train encountered a land slide on the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad, and subsequently met with a more serious obstacle, the waters having risen so high as to render the road impassable.
After much delay, they got through all the scenes of danger and difficulty unharmed.
A meeting was held, Mr. Jno. W. Ferguson
, of Richmond
, presiding, and resolutions passed tendering the thanks of all concerned to Capt. Jas. H. Walter
, the prudent conductor, for putting them safely through their perilous trip.
