Mastered into service.

--The people of the South side have done well in this contest, having sent some of their bravest and most stalwart sons to the Metropolis, to be mustered into the service of the State. What they have accomplished is but a title of what they stand prepared to do and are doing. All honor, then, to the noble Southsiders. Yesterday. Company B. ‘"Elliott Greys,"’ of the 192d Regiment, came from Manchester, 100 strong, neatly and substantially clothed, each member every inch a soldier, and proceeding to the Custom-House, were received into the service of the State by the Inspector General. We have once before noticed the propose formation of this company, and have now to say, that few companies in the service can surpass it in all the requisites necessary for offensive demonstrations against the common enemy.--The company officers are as follows: Captain, Louis F. Bossieux; 1st Lieut., H. Fitzgerald; 2d Lieut., Walter C. Day; 3d Lieut., John S. Whitworth; Orderly, Wm. Walsh.
