Suspicious persons.

--There is not the least doubt of the presence of spies in this city, and measures of some sort should be adopted by our citizens to discover who they are. Many of our citizens are not aware of the fact that there is another means of corresponding with the North, besides the mail and telegraph.--Letters are sent from here to the North by way of the Adams Express. This, perhaps, may account for the appearance of a ‘"Richmond Correspondence"’ in the New York Herald and Washington Star. Many Northern men are now in our midst, therefore let our citizens keep a watchful eye, and report all suspicious persons to the Mayor.
