Below we publish, by telegraph, further returns from this and other States. They show the election of Lincoln. The Republicans, however, have lost so many Congressmen that he will have a House and Senate opposed to his administration. In Virginia, the result is still in doubt, and it is impossible to form a reliable opinion of what it will be.

The General result.

Washington, Nov. 7.
--The following are the estimated majorities for Lincoln:

New York, 50,000; Michigan, 25,000; Illinois, 15,000; Ohio, 38,000; Wisconsin, 10,000.

Iowa and Minnesota are strongly claimed by the Republicans.

Tennessee has probably gone for Bell.

The friends of the Union and of the South here, congratulate themselves on the increased Opposition strength in Congress, which will divest Lincoln's administration of the power to injure the South.
