Electing a President.

--On Wednesday next, the stockholders of the Richmond and York River Railroad are to meet at West Point, the terminus of the road, to elect a President for the present year. The names of several gentlemen have been mentioned in connection with this office; but many of the old stockholders will hear of no change, and insist upon Mr. Dudley's continuing in harness for at least another year. From the commencement of the road to the present hour, he has bent his best energies to its success, and they will not now hear of his quitting his post, great as have been his sacrifices, until the entire works are completed.
