Aid Societies.

--Organizations for benevolent purposes are now going on in the city, and benevolent gentlemen, regardless of their own personal comforts, are searching out the needy and giving them substantial relief. In almost every neighborhood in this city may be found one or more destitute families — often widows and orphans — who might be made comfortable, at trifling cost to their neighbors, if their situations were known. To search for these persons, organizations are necessary. Let our citizens, when called on by the proper persons, contribute liberally to the good work.
