Money and Produce Accumulating.

--The Chicago (Illinois) Democrat says: ‘We have stored in our warehouses enormous amounts of produce, enough at any time to keep exchange ruling at ½ per cent. But there is no produce moved, no pork packed, and nothing done to keep currency circulating, because the farmers, and in fact every body else, are afraid of it. We hazard nothing to say that there is now two millions more currency here than four weeks ago. From the city and country money is coming in as fast as it can be gathered. On this account the Banks keep their rate of exchange so high in order to deter all outsiders as much as possible from sending in any more.’
