Tobacco in France.

--There are twelve government manufactories in France, in which all the tobacco used in the Empire is prepared for sale. These are located in Paris and eleven provincial cities. Among the accessories employed in the manufacture of tobacco are 800,000 kilogrammes, or nearly 1,600,000 pounds of salt.
