Another rumor.

--The Lynchburg Republican, of yesterday, contains the following, which has not been confirmed, so far as we are informed, by any report received in Richmond direct from Manassas:

‘ At head quarters, at Manassas Junction, intelligence has been received to the effect that a battle was fought at Routney, resulting in the defeat of the Lincolnties and the taking of a number of prisoners, amongst whom were a Colonel and two of his staff. The report has not been confirmed, but is generally credited.
