The Piratical fleet.

--There are seven vessels at present visible to the naked eye, lying close to Santa Rosa, along the coast of that island. The chartered U. S. steam transport Vanderbilt is amongst the arrivals since Sunday morning, and during last night another large transport, supposed to be the Illinois, arrived at the anchorage. It is thought that the concentration of so many large vessels in the vicinity of Fort Pickens indicates some action on the part of the notorious Harvey Brown, who claims to be the ‘"Commander of all the forces in Florida."’ Bah! he will soon discover that the greater number are opposed to him and his command. True to the principles of liberty, they can never recognize authority founded upon despotism and the trampling upon human rights and constitutional privileges.--Pensacola Observer, 25th ult.

It will be remembered that the Vanderbilt sailed from New York with a miscellaneous cargo, including Billy Wilson's Cut-Throat Regiment.
