Revolution in St. Domingo

--Advices from St. Domingo to the 8th of June have been received. A fierce reactionary movement against the renewal of the rule of Spain is progressing in St. Domingo. Gen. Santana had established a perfect reign of terror in support of Queen Isabilla's annexation project, but the Dominicans had taken unarms against him in Moca, Cibao, Vega and every important standpoint of the country. A reinforcement had been sent from Porto Rico to the Spanish army, and it was thought that twenty thousand soldiers would be required in order to sustain Santana and her Catholic Majesty. A severe mortality existed in the Spanish regiments.
