Death from hydrophobia.

--The wife of Major McRae, commandant of Jefferson Barracks, near St. Louis, died on Sunday night last of hydrophobia. About two months ago she was attacked by a ferocious dog, thrown to the ground, and bitten on one of her cheeks and brow. The dog was not known to be mad at the time. On Sunday she was taken seriously ill, with unmistakable symptoms of hydrophobia. The disease progressed with alarming rapidity, and terminated fatally on Sunday night, the patient dying in the greatest agony.
