--In New York, on the 3rd inst., while in the act of arresting a horse that had become suddenly frightened at the blowing of a locomotive whistle, Mr. Barnum was thrown violently upon his right shoulder, crushing the cap bone.
His injury, though severe, it is thought will not prove fatal.
