Blanding's South Carolina Regiment.

--The arrival and departure from this city of this fine Regiment has been noticed. A majority of the companies composing the Second Regiment South Carolina Volunteers have been serving on Morris' Island since the breaking out of hostilities, and are therefore fully posted as to the duties of soldiers. The following is a correct list of the Field and Staff officers:

James D. Blanding, Colonel; Duncan W. Ray, Lieutenant Colonel; John M. Steadman, Major; James H. Wisherspoon, Adjutant; Thos B. Francer. Quartermaster; W. Edward Dick, Commissary; Robert L. Crawford, M. D., Surgeon; John J. B, ssaid, M. D., Assistant Surgeon; Rev. John N. Craige, Chaplain; B. W. Edwards, Sergeant Major; Robt. C. M. Fadden, Quartermaster Sergeant.

The ten companies comprising the command are officered as follows: Sumter Greys, D. W. Harrington, Captain; Hor vole Light Infantry, James L. Coker, Captain; States Nights Guard, Robert Adams, Captain; Kershaw Troop, E. B. Canty, Captain; Cowpeas Guards, William M. Foster, Captain; Clarendon Blues. J. S. Wentworth, Captain; Pickens Sentinels, Jos. E. Lee, Captain; Chocorua Guards, Alex. R. Colleague, Captain; Blanding Blues, Jerome W. Walker, Captain; Lancaster Greys, John D. Wylie, Captain. The regiment numbers 901 men, rank and file.
