--A rumor was brought down by passengers on the Central cars yesterday evening, that 1,500 of the Hessians had surrendered to our forces in the past two days in the vicinity of Fall's Church.
The impression conveyed was that they had surrendered voluntarily, or, rather, did not evince any particular anxiety to fight.
We give the above merely as rumor.
