--A man represented to be from Louisiana raised considerable excitement in the neighborhood of the Exchange Hotel yesterday evening by his energetic endeavors to shoot a native of the Palmetto State.
The latter very properly objected, and the police arriving in time to prevent bloodshed, removed the disturber of the peace to the calaboose.
We could not learn his name.
