Gen. Lyon--various Reports.

Baltimore, Aug. 8
--The Washington Star reports that Gen. Lyon was killed at a later battle than that at Dug's Springs.

St. Louis, August 8.
--The Herald Extra, of yesterday afternoon, has reports from various sources indicating the capture of Gen. Lyon. [Later advices from St. Louis do not confirm the above.]

St. Louis, Aug. 8, P. M.
--The last heard of Gen. Lyon was on Sunday last. He had determined to return to Springfield, fearing that the Southern cavalry would outflank him and take Springfield. A fight had occurred at Athens, between the Iowa troops, assisted by the Home Guards, and the Missourians. The latter are reported to have been worsted.
