Stealing Sweet things.

--Morgan, slave of Frank Whitlock, was carried before the Mayor yesterday and ordered 15 lashes, for stealing a bucket of honey from John S. Mosby. The latter thought the appropriation a ‘"sweet thing"’ for the defendant, but a hard thing for the owner, consequently the Mayor was compelled to mix a little gall with the honey, which was done in the shape of 15 lashes.
