Cotton loan.

The patriotic people of an election precinct in Washington county, Texas, (as we learn from a citizen of that State arrived here,) have unanimously subscribed about one-half of their growing crop of cotton to the Confederate loan. Fifty names on the list put down 2,100 bales of cotton. The planter of 400 bales, and he of four, subscribe with equal readiness. The people of Texas are ready to devote all they have to the cause if necessary.
