McCullough? or McCulloch?

Richmond, Aug. 30, 1861.
To the Editors of the Dispatch:
--I have observed that the papers of Richmond, and many others in the country, almost invariably print the name of the here of Oak Hills, McCullough. This is erroneous. It should be written or printed McCulloom, as I know from an intimate acquaintance with him for the last twenty-two years.

I may add, that Ben McCulloch was never married, the statement in your paper a week or two ago to the contrary nevertheless.

Texan,
