The Howell Guards,

from Florida, marched through our streets yesterday morning, with banners flying, drum beating, and soldierly step. Their flag was a handsome one, and borne by fine-looking men. Its stars were all in one circle, as the design of the flag demands that they should be. This thing of making Confederate flags with the "Union" down, as we have seen one, or with the stars in a huddle, as we have seen many, is not calculated to add to our reputation for heraldic skill and knowledge.
