Serious accident on the Virginia and Tennessee Railroad.
Lynchburg, Sept. 2.
--Last night, as two trains forced with troops were coming east on the Virginia and Tennessee Railroad, from Bristol
five cars of the loading train broke loose on the steep grads, about half a mile west of Abingdon
, and ran back and were run into by the train with was following; and one soldier was killed and ten or twelve injured--two seriously.
The train left Briston half an hour apart with orders not to run faster than twelve miles per hour.
The trains were loaded with the Second Regiment, belonging to the Polish Brigade
