Small items.

--Local news was scarce yesterday. We walked the streets in the afternoon in search of items, with the following result: We learned that two tipsy soldiers and an Irish woman had, about 6 o'clock, quite a genteel row on 17th street, between Main and Cary streets. The soldiers had procured two bottles of whiskey from her, and, so far from paying for the same, had stood at her door and tantalized her until her Irish blood was aroused and she could restrain herself no longer, but made at them with hostile demonstrations, causing them to take to their heels. No harm done.--Item 2d. A horse attached to a wagon fell down on Main street, near the Old Market, causing quite a sensation among the occupants of the vehicle, one of whom, being a little tight, made many humorous remarks on the subject of his disaster. The noise frightened the mules attached to another wagon, and they made off, but were soon stopped by some one.
