News from Baltimore and Harper's Ferry.

--A gentleman just arrived in this city brings us news from Baltimore. The Exchange, the South, and the Republican, had been suppressed, and the Sun was expected to share the same fate soon. The Peabody Institute had been converted into a prison for — let manhood blush — ladies! The coming of the army of deliverance under Johnston and Beauregard is looked for with intense interest, and the soft hands of Baltimore's fairest daughters have already woven numerous wreaths with which to decorate the brows of our victorious soldiers. God speed the day of deliverance.

The same gentleman informs us that a skirmish took place at or near Harper's Ferry on yesterday week, in which a Federal field officer was killed, the man who killed him being our informant's authority for the statement.
