--Hon. J. C. Breckinridge
and other Kentuckians were at Abingdon
It is understood that Mr. Breckinridge
will resign his seat in the United States Senate, issue an address to the people of Kentucky
, and actively engage in the war. It is believed that he will be in Richmond
in a few days.
One hundred passengers are detained in Lynchburg
until to-morrow, in consequence of the failure of the trains to connect.
