--The residence of Mr. John M. Francisco
, on 23d street, between Main and Franklin, was burglariously entered on Friday night, and robbed of a large number of articles, including 2 yards of black cloth, 4 yards checked linsey, 2 yards light brown cassimere, 8 large sheets, marked with the owner's name, a lot of table covers
, shawls, and various articles of wearing apparel
; 5 silver table spoons
, 6 silver teaspoons, salt spoons, silver plated candlesticks, albata forks, &c., &c. The spoons were old family relics, some of them marked with the letter "D." The thieves effected an entrance by removing one of the slats, and unfastening a blind.
Two new bonnets were thrown into the yard and trampled upon, and the key of the front door was carried away.
These losses fall heavily upon Mr. Francisco
, and we hope the police will use every exertion to apprehend the rogues.
