The New Turnout.
--The city railway company has so far improved the track on Main street as to cause a turn-out to be constructed a short distance below the St. Charles Hotel
This will enable the cars to run by a better ‘"schedule,"’ and afford increased accommodation to the public.
On Saturday, however, car No. 1 ran off the main track upon the new one, but off that also, and went high and dry upon a pile of rocks.
The passengers, with a display of patient good nature that was never surpassed, jumped out and aided in lifting the car back to its proper place.
The street railway is quite a popular ‘"institution,"’ and seems to be liberally patronized.
