The Federal prisoners

--A large number of persons assembled at the Central depot yesterday afternoon, expecting to witness a grand parade of the Yankees captured at Leesburg; but they came not, and public curiosity was unsatisfied. We have been informed that they will arrive to day, by an extra train, but at what hour no one knows — not even the man who is always posted up incurrent events, and starts all the exciting rumors. It is a matter of some concern to ascertain what shall be done with all these prisoners, for we have more now in Richmond than any man of generous impulses would care to feed through the winter; but we understand that a tobacco factory on 25th street will be converted into a temporary prison, and we suppose, as the number continues to increase, the Government will occasionally ship a lot to points further South.
