The Race.

--There was another large attendance at the Fairfield Course on Saturday, to witness the two mile race between some favorite horses, for a purse of $300. Among the spectators present were Messrs. Breckinridge, Preston, and Marshall, of Kentucky, and other distinguished gentlemen from various parts of the South. The race was won by Doswell's Exchequer in two straight heats. We append a summary:
