State Convention.

Startly after assembling yesterday, the Convention went into secret session, for what purpose is only known to the members, and questionable if they can show that the for such a proceeding exists at present. It may, however, have a tendency to hasten their labors to a conclusion, a consumption devoutly to be wished.
