Salt.

--The New Orleans Crescent states that it was generally understood that there was sufficient course salt in that market on the first of September last to cure 300,000 barrels of meat. This is as much as was ever received in that market for the year. To this, the same paper states, since been added 600,000 bushels. The Houston (Texas) Telegraph, of the 12th, also announces the successful landing of 3,000 near that city, notwithstanding the blockade.
